Dive Professional & Cinematographer
I took my first breaths underwater when I was 19 and got hooked straight away. I loved it so much that I pretty quickly decided I wanted to become a dive professional, and that later led me into the Swedish Marines as a military diver. Around that time I bought my first underwater camera and housing and just started playing around with it. I was so fascinated by the underwater world that I wanted to share it with all the people who do not dive and show them what exists beneath the surface. After the military I worked as a divemaster and guide in the Red Sea, and later in places like Sudan, the Canary Islands and Sweden. Photography just grew naturally out of all of that, and over time it went from being something I loved doing to becoming my full time job.
What is it that you love about the ocean and diving?
For me, it is the feeling of entering a completely different world. Everything changes underwater. The light, the silence, the movement, the whole atmosphere. It can be incredibly peaceful, but at the same time there is always that sense of respect for the underwater environment becouse its not our natural habitat. I also love that diving lets you see places that most people will never experience for themselves. A lot of my photography is really about trying to share that feeling and give people a glimpse into a world they would otherwise never see.

What is your most spectacular dive so far?
That is a hard one, because there have been quite a few over the years, and for different reasons. Some dives stay with me because of the place, some because of the conditions, and some because everything just came together perfectly. For me, the most spectacular dives are usually the ones where
there is a real sense of scale, atmosphere and discovery, and where I know I am seeing something special and hopefully capturing it in a way that lets other people feel a little bit of that too.
What dive are you still dreaming about?
Honestly, I do not think that the list ever gets shorter, I’m always been drawn to places that are remote, hard to reach and not very well documented. That is what still excites me most, the idea of going somewhere wild or visually unexplored and coming back with images that show something new. For me it is not just about ticking off famous dive sites, it’s about finding places that still feel a bit unknown.
